Jessica graduated from Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio in 2009. She worked in Columbus until deciding to move to East Tennessee. She recently married a remarkable Stoney Creek resident, Ezra Jacob Brummitt and they bought a house in Bristol, TN. Together, they enjoy traveling, driving and hiking the mountains with their dog, and caving.

David and the former Melody Grindstaff were married in 1999 and have a daughter, Mary Alexandria. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Elizabethton, where he taught his Sunday School Class. David was an avid collector of military memorabilia and was a wonderful, avid story teller. It was David’s Friday night highlights to watch the Elizabethton High School football team. Justin Stubbs joined Heritage in 2021 as Creative Director, and director of communications.

Crockett, 80, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away at his residence on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. David was born in Elizabeth City, N.C., to the late Charles McDaniel Crockett and Hannah Louise Crockett. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his beloved son, Christopher Charles Crockett. Thomas is from Lincolnton, GA, and is a 4th generation funeral director and cemeterian. He is a graduate of both Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service and The Georgia School of Ministry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Estep, Opal Cable, Wayne Harmon, Bea Crow and Daniel Hill. We would like to thank the members of the Carter County Rescue Squad, members of the Hampton/Valley Forge Fire Department and the 2600 ICU & 5200 wing at the Johnson City Medical Center for the love and care shown to Sherry and her family. Chad is happily married to a wonderful woman, Kristen, and is the proud step-dad to Emily Peters.
